Hold Fast Cycling Ceramic Brake Pads for SRAM Level/Road Pre-2019

Our SRAM Brake Pads Pre-2019 come in two awe-inspiring compounds: Ceramic and Metallic. These are a direct replacement for several of SRAM’s Road and Level brakes. One set includes an inner pad and outer pad for one brake caliper. See the list below for a complete list of compatible brakes. Their distinct shape should be a dead giveaway for compatibility.

• Softer compound provides better initial bite than metallic.
• Extremely quiet in use.
• Quick and easy to “bed in.”
• Less brake fade than resin pads.
• Not as strong in wet conditions but still provide great initial bite.
• May not last as long as metallic, but longer than resin.

• Harder compound lacks initial bite but provides maximum stopping power under heavy load.
• Very long lasting.
• Take longer to “bed in.”
• Can be noisy in wet conditions.
• Excellent heat transfer—ideal for long downhills.
• Perform well in cold, wet, and muddy conditions.

Don’t be afraid to mix and match!
Metallic up front + Ceramic in the rear is a popular setup.
If you ride long hills → go with Metallic.
If you ride flatter terrain → choose Ceramic.
